BACKGROUND: Heritage Distilling Co. operates out of Washington and Oregon. There are a few unique and cool aspects that I noticed about this distillery. They’re a majority women owned enterprise. HDC has a patented program called the Cask Club that allows its members to essentially create they’re very own product. It This sample was graciously given to us at no cost by the company. We thank them for allowing us to review this with no reservations.
NOSE: This is a classic bourbon nose with lots of oak, vanilla, and caramel. As the whiskey sat on our palate we were able to pull some light citrus and maple notes. (20/25)
PALATE: An easy sipping, classic bourbon with tons of vanilla, light caramel, light baking spice, and some smooth oak. Overall it has a lighter mouth feel (30/40)
FINISH: A simple and short, yet enjoyable finish with some rye spice, cracked pepper, and oak. (20/25)
VALUE: At $28 this is a great buy. I highly recommend getting a bottle if you’re local (10/10)
Overall: 80/100
FINAL THOUGHTS: This is an easy to drink bourbon that has classic notes and is really enjoyable from a great craft distillery! Check them out! This bottle was provided to us at no cost, we think the distillery greatly
