I.T is one of the oldest whiskeys in the world, surviving the late 1800s, the prohibition era, and was the house whiskey at the famous “The Cotton Club.” This whiskey has been backed by huge names in the jazz world including Duke Ellington.
NOSE: Chicken Cock Bourbon whiskey has a very sweet nose that is full of citrusy lemon notes, sweet corn, vanilla, and fresh summer hay. (20/25)
PALATE: A smooth creamy taste of apples, licorice, and light spice flavors of oak, and pepper. (31/40)
FINISH: The finish is very long and tasty with notes of oak, rye spice, molasses, and some burnt caramel. It is quite smooth and enjoyable but is on the drier side. (21/25)
VALUE: Chicken Cock Bourbon has a $60 SRP which is a little high for this whiskey. (7/10)
Overall: 79/100
FINAL THOUGHTS: Chicken Cock Bourbon is a very tasty bourbon whiskey that has an enjoyable dessert and candy flavor profile. We would recommend this whiskey to anyone who enjoys the sweeter whiskey notes without sacrificing for proof and a watery taste.
